During sunrise when the first rays of the sun hit the icy white peaks of Kanchenjunga, it produces an amazing scene which will forever be etched in your mind. As the journey starts from Kanchenjunga base camp to Makalu base camp, you get acquainted with another beautiful and majestic peak in the Himalayas. After returning from Kanchenjunga Base Camp we head towards to Ghunsa and crossing Nango La(4820m) then continuing towards the remote Yangma valley to the Olangchun Gola. From here, we then cross over Lumba Sumba Pass (5160 m) and then walk towards Chyantang. The beauty of Makalu cannot be described in words.
Lumba Sumba passes 5151 m lies in-between Kanchenjunga and Makalu Barun national park. This pass offers magnificent views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Baruntse, Makalu and Kanchenjunga range.
