Trip Introduction

Khopra Ridge Yoga Trek is tranquility and interesting family suitable trek in the heart of Annapurna region. Annapurna the most walked trails in Nepal, yet this trek remains mysterious for the trekkers. The secluded place hidden behind the massive of Annapurna ranges is one of the most speculative vantage points of the region. The pattern of undulating ridges laid beyond the touching distance is sort of miracles. The trail to this track is mainly dominant by the rhododendron, which blooms in spring. Most of the trekking trails lead through the jungle with Bamboo trees, you will also see the water buffalo, different kinds of birds. Khopra Ridge trek one of the tourist less trekking destination which is on the lap of Mount Annapurna south. There are less no of a tea house in this trekking destination and no roads at all. The Yoga course on this itinerary intends to make you familiar with basic yoga postures and the required theoretical knowledge. You can practice on your own once you follow it under the guidance of an expert teacher.

Khopra Ridge Trek is being popular nowadays the maximum height of Khopra danda is around 400 m plus. There is only one tea house in this danda and tents outside. Ghorepani poon hill trek is one of the short and best trekking destination in this Annapurna region. Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, our airport representative will meet you and transfer you to the designated hotel. Look for your name on display or placard.
When you had your time to settle in and freshen up, we will invite you to our office for the briefing about the program. Here we will introduce you to your trekking guide and discuss briefly about the trips. Please feel free to ask any quarries about the trip. If you arrive Kathmandu in late evening, the pre-trip meeting will be held the next day morning after your breakfast. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 02: Kathmandu (1315m) – Pokhara (820m). Drive 6-7 hours
After breakfast, we start our trip on a winding road along the Trishuli River to Pokhara. On the way, we get to admire the terraced fields, countryside huts and lush forest along with Torrent Rivers and gorges. After reaching the juncture at Mungling, we veer north towards Pokhara. The view of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre Peak confirms that we are approaching Pokhara. Once at Pokhara, we drive to the pre-booked hotel at lakeside and take a rest. In the evening, we can stroll leisurely at lakeside or boat on Phewa Lake. Overnight in Pokhara Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 03: Drive to Kande and trek to Tolkha (1700m). Walking 6 hours
After breakfast, we drive towards Kande via lush forest to the trail head at Knde (40 minutes). From Kande, we walk via forested trail with numbers of ups and downs to Tolkha. Overnight in Tolkha Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 04 :Trek from Tolkha to Ghandruk (1940m). Walking 6 hours.
The initial part of trail is gradual and later becomes steep to reach Landruk. Then we make a gradual descent passing through terraces and few settlements to reach Modi Khola. We cross Iron Bridge and make a steep uphill climb that finally leads us to Ghandruk village.
Ghandruk village offers dramatic views of Annapurna ranges like Annapurna south, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (fishtail). Here we will find many lodges, Gurung Museum and traditional houses made of stone slabs. Overnight in Ghandruk Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 05:Trek from Ghanruk to Tadapani (2630m). Walking 5 hours
After breakfast, we start with a gradual descend through rhododendron forest; enjoying a chirping of birds. As we start climbing, we can hear the roar of streams flowing down towards river. After a while, we will come across the village of Bherikharaka which houses few lodges and tea shops for break. Then we continue again through rhododendron forest to Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 06:Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3350m). Walking 6 hours
Today, we leave the mainstream trail and climb via less-trodden trail through a forest. Today we get to admire the diverse flora and fauna of the region and obviously the stunning mountain vistas of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. This easy trail to Dobato is entirely dominated by the remarkable view of the Annapurna South. Overnight in Dobato Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 07:Trek from Dobato to Chistibung (3000m). Walking 5 hours
After breakfast, we drop down through ground and then through lush forest to reach the pasture lands of Lower Chistibung. Next, we make a gradual climb through a forest to reach Upper Chistibung – a temporary herder’s settlement. If lucky, we get opportunity to explore colorful Lophophorus (Danphe), the national bird of Nepal as well as Himalayan Thar grazing on a grassy ridge. Overnight in Upper Chistibung Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 08:Trek from Chistibung to Khopra Danda (4020m). Walking 5 hours
After breakfast, we climb via steep trail above the forest line through alpine meadows and grassland to Khopra. As we reach Khopra, we get incredible view of Annapurna South. From Khopra, we make a short walk down to Khopra viewpoint to admire the stunning Kali Gandaki River draining far below in this deep valley. The viewpoint also offers spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna South. Khopra Danda trekking package allows you to trek upto here. But this package is extended trekking itinerary of Khopra danda trekking which allows to trek upto Khayar lake. Overnight in Khopra Danda Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 09:Trek from Khopra Danda to Khayar Base Camp (4620m). Walking 6 hours
Today we walk via challenging route to Khayar Base Camp which takes about six hours.

Day 10:Hike from Khayar Base Camp to Khayar Lake (4827m). Walking 4-5 hours
The hike from Khayar Base Camp is the most strenuous part of the trek. But the effort is well-compensated by the amazing views Mt. Fang, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and more. Here you will spot a shrine where the Bhadau Purnima Festival is held every year. Later climb down via same route back to the Base Camp. Day 11:Trek from Khayar Base Camp to Khopra Danda (4020m). Walking 5 hours
After breakfast, we retrace our step back to Khopra Danda from Khayar Base Camp. It takes about 5 hours to reach the Khopara Danda. Overnight at Khopra Danda Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 12:Trek from Khopra Danda to Swata (2270m). Walking 5 hours
After breakfast, we drop down via steep trail off the hillside to Swanta village. On the way, we get more views of Mt. Dhaulagiri providing incredible backdrop to the terraced fields and traditional houses in the nearby villages. Overnight at Swata Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 13:Trek from Swata to Ghorepani (2855m). Walking 4 hours
From Swata, we descend through the terraced fields and small settlement down to river bank where we can discover water operated mill. From here, we cross the suspension bridge and climb up towards the village of Chittre. It is from where we join the main trekking trail to Ghorepani. Overnight in Ghorepani Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 14:Trek from Ghorepani to Hile (1460m). Walking 6 hours
A pre-dawn to Poon Hill offers dramatic view of sunrise over 55km long Annapurna massif. After exploration, we drop down to Ghorepani for breakfast and head towards Hile. On our way to Hile, we will come across the village of Ulleri 3500 steep stone staircase is the most difficult section of the trek. Overnight in Hile Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 15:Trek from Birethanti to Nayapul (1070m) and drive to Pokhara overnight at Pokhara
Our trek will conclude at Nayapul where we board on a private vehicle back to Pokhara. We check-in to the hotel and take a well-deserved rest. In the evening, we can stroll around the streets of Pokhara just to enjoy the atmosphere. Overnight in Pokhara Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 16:Pokhara to Kathmandu. Driving 6-7 hours
After breakfast, we drive via same road back to Kathmandu.
In the evening, we will have farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trip. Overnight in Kathmandu Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 17:Departure from Nepal.
Your adventure trip in Nepal comes to an end today. A representative from Nepal Gateway Trekking will transfer you back to the Tribhuvan International Airport right on scheduled time.
