Who We Are
Mega Mount Trekking & Expedition P. Ltd. is a government-registered trekking and expedition company based in Thamel, Kathmandu. We are a team of Nepali guides, Sherpas, porters and trip planners who grew up in the shadow of the Himalayas and have spent more than two decades leading travellers through them.
From a first-time trek to Everest Base Camp to a full expedition on a Himalayan giant, we plan every journey around one idea: you should be free to enjoy the mountains while we take care of everything else — permits, logistics, accommodation, safety and the countless small details that make a trip run smoothly.
Our Story
Mega Mount began with a small group of mountain guides who wanted to offer something different from mass-market tourism: honest advice, fair prices, small groups and genuine care on the trail. Word of mouth did the rest. Today we welcome trekkers, climbers and cultural travellers from all over the world, and many of them come back to explore a new region with us.

What We Do
- Trekking in Nepal: Classic and remote routes including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Mustang, Kanchenjunga and Dolpo, from short treks to multi-week journeys.
- Peak Climbing: Guided ascents of trekking peaks such as Island Peak, Mera Peak and Lobuche East, with training and acclimatisation built into the itinerary.
- Expeditions: Full logistics and Sherpa support for major Himalayan peaks, including permits, base camp services and experienced climbing staff.
- Tours & Cultural Journeys: Kathmandu Valley heritage tours, jungle safaris in Chitwan and Bardiya, and trips that extend into Tibet and Bhutan.
- Tailor-Made Trips: Private departures planned around your dates, fitness level and interests — for solo travellers, families, friends and groups.
