Trip Introduction
Extensively exploration tour visiting all the major sights of Central Bhutan. This tour visits the famous Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), Trongsa, Gangtey and Wangdue the fabulous valleys to be seen while visiting the kingdom. In Kathmandu, we visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites before flying to Paro, Bhutan. In Bhutan, we travel to many townships and tour several dzongs (fortresses), temples, and other cultural and historical landmarks.
While in Bhutan, we also pass through the high Dochu La pass and hike to the enchanting Taktsang(Tiger’s Nest) Monastery. However, our Nepal and Bhutan Tour does not end here. We fly back to Kathmandu and visit Patan and Bhaktapur cities that have charmed millions of tourists over the years with its historical architecture and rich cultural heritage. Then we drive to Nagarkot, a village renowned for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas and enjoy spectacular sunset views amidst the tall and mighty peaks.

Day 1: Kathmandu – Paro – Thimphu.
Fly to Paro and visit Rimpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) and Ta Dzong an ancient watchtower then drive for about one and half hour to Thimphu, the modern capital of Bhutan. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Thimphu sightseeing.
Visit the National memorial chorten, folk heritage museum, textile museum, the school of arts and Zilukha nunnery. The evening ends with a walk through Thimphu’s main shopping areas. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha.
Drive to Punakha through the Docho La – ‘la’ (3050 m), breathtaking panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas are spread out around us. Visit Punakha Dzong located between the rivers of the Mo (Female) the Chu and Pho (Male) Chu. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Punakha – Gangtey.
Drive to Gangtey which lies to the east of Punakha and Wangdue passing Gangtey Gompa then enter the Phobjikha Valley the most beautiful valley in the Himalayas a winter home to black-necked cranes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Gangtey – Wangdue.
In the morning; walk around Phobjikha Valley and Khewa Valley with an old temple. In the afternoon drive to Wangdue. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Wangdue – Paro.
Morning visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong and a small hike to Chimi Lhakhang. After lunch, visit the mini zoo to see National animal of Bhutan called TAKIN and drive to Paro. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Hike to Taktsang.
Drive to Ramthangkha and hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest) which is one of the most venerated pilgrim sites of the world is located above 2,950m. Then visit Kyichu Lhakhang and Paro market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Paro – Kathmandu.
After breakfast; Bhutanese escort will bid you farewell at Paro airport and fly back to home.
