Trip Introduction
Mt. Manaslu (8163 m) high is located in the central region of Nepal in the Gorkha massif. It is the eighth highest mountain in the world. The name Mt. Manaslu was derived from the Sanskrit word “Manas” which means ‘Soul’ or ‘Intellect’. Japanese were the first to climb Manaslu peak in 1956. Therefore it is still considered as Japanese peak by many people.
Though there are many routes to go to Mt. Manaslu mountaineering, as the long ridge Manaslu base camp and valley glacier offer feasibility to approach from different directions, but south face is considered to be the most difficult Our caravan route to this mountain begins from Gorkha to Samagaon and return route is via Larke La Pass trekking to the Annapurna classic routes making the expedition one of the memorable ones for Mt. Manaslu climbing link Manaslu Circuit Trek.
