Ama Dablam Expedition is incredible beauty lies alongside Everest in the heart of the Khumbu valley offering superb views of Mt Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Everest. Although a smaller snow-capped peak at 6812 m, vertical walls and sharp exposed ridges make this mountain one of the most technical and difficult climbs requiring strong mountaineering skills and previous high altitude experience. Everest Base Camp Trek, 3 high pass Trek.
If you have previous climbing experience and wish to participate fully as a team member of an expertly led expedition to one of the world’s most impressive mountains, then a climbing expedition to Amadablam is best suited for you. The common route to the summit is from its south-west ridge. From the base camp at 4500 m, we have to establish a minimum of three camps on the mountain. Ama Dablam’s South West Ridge is not only incredibly picturesque but is a world-class alpine route due to its ease of access, sound rock and truly spectacular summit day on steep and exposed snow slopes. It is a climb that not only rewards climbers with its technical challenge but also its panoramic views of the Everest group, Makalu, Cho Oyu and a multitude of other peaks. We trek in the beautiful Everest trail before beginning our summit. Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
The climb is moderate up to Camp 1, then it gets challenging up along the narrow granite ridge. Negotiating pitches of steep ice and snow slopes, the route gets more technical from Camp 2. From Camp 3, skirt around the hanging glacier or the Dablam, cross snow arête(a sharp ridge) and bergschrund (a gap or crevasse at the edge) between ice cliffs and scale the summit. After scaling the summit, we return back to base camp. Everest Expedition
